[Updated after our 2008 trip] Though it seems like you're riding in the middle of nowhere, GREAT, responsible, friendly shops can be found in Southern Utah !! Stopping by the shops BEFORE you ride makes a lot of sense - even if you have maps from other trips, or good memories - locals can update you on changing trail conditions. I like to patronize these shops, and often pricing is better than what we find at home ! (I bought avid disc pads for $19 in Sprindale - cheaper than any valley shop, for sure).

Over The Edges sports - Hurricane

Long time cycling friends Quinton and DJ have left Brianhead to open one of the NICEST looking shops you'll find down in Hurricane. Concentrating on higher end bikes (road and mountain), this is one stop you should make, even if all you' need is a good expresso. A converted tree shaded house on the road out to Gooseberry, and a very friendly dog to greet you - they really have put together one swee shop ! Brian Head Sports - Brian Head

Long the best biking solution up on the mountain, this year Steve again showed us a GREAT time up in the rare air of 12,000'. Except for the ski chair lift bike park up top, all trails from Brian Head drop QUICKLY off the top, so most rides involve a shuttle. For $20 - $25 each, you get the luxury of a scheduled shuttle, and Steve can hook you up in this regards.
